What can you do with the content you write? When I first started to learn SEO I got obsessed with backlinks. I searched everywhere for ways to build up my site’s link popularity to a point that I would spend almost 83% of my time online researching the topic. It was almost impossible not to stumble upon the article marketing topic a few times a day. I somehow felt horrified at the thought of writing content and giving it for free without any possible way for it. I was lazy and had the wrong attitude towards making money online. I started article marketing surrendering to the idea of building free backlinks to my small site. Article marketing gave great results but they where different from what I expected. The real return on investment came not from search engine traffic to my site but from the traffic the articles themselves were generating. However there are many different ways you can use articles to make money online now and help you take your business to the next level.

  1. By submitting articles to article directories you can generate traffic from the articles themselves and increase your sites link popularity if you use the resource box correctly. You can drive visitors to your sells or presell pages. Exposure from this type of marketing increases of your articles are published by webmasters in their sitesHowever, you cannot publish affiliate links in the resource box.
  2. Submitting your articles to revenue sharing sites. These sites give you a percentage of the revenue associated with ad clicks and sales. Ideally, you can create small web pages that rank well in search engines. Try building a Squidoo Lens or a Hub Page with your articles and monetize it. Depending on how much you work on it and how you promote the lenses you may even make money online easily and free.
  3. Sell them as private label rights packages. This is sometimes one of the easiest and quickest. Webmaster forums are the best choice when it comes to selling your articles fast. The other and more profitable option is to build a mini site and sell them as a product.
  4. Create an auto responder series. By including articles in your auto responder series you can alternate contents and product offers to help maintain reader interest in your list. This way you avoid pitching your subscribers to often.

You can drive massive amounts of targeted traffic to your site from a well known blog in addition to powerful links from authority sites that are very relevant to your niche. This tactic can really help you make money for your site by increasing you search engine visibility.
  8. Use them as forum posts. Big name marketers are well known to use this tactic. A well written useful post can drive traffic from a community and earn you some respect within that community. Not to mention that you may actually make some money if some of the visitors buy something from your site.

    Hi Yan Thanks for Stopping By. Have you tried spinning your article with a syntax based spinner? I get good results this way since it helps avoid the Dupe content penalty on your articles. You can also use it to vary the anchor text to avoid a Google Bombing penalty and help you get that good ol’ long tail traffic. You can also spin older blog posts heavily to use them as articles.

    Definitely go for guest posting if you know some other bloggers. It gives you some popularity, some backlinks and the other guy doesn’t have to write a post. It’s awesome all around.

    definitely a great way to build traffic to your site. It will help generate organic traffic from the search engines but the pages themselves can generate loads of traffic as well. Guest post and use Digg. These two can yield large amounts of traffic!
