Making Money Online - The Importance of Establishing Good Relationships
- 5 Comment
Making money on the internet is one tough journey. There are plenty of skills to learn including building sites, writing, SEO and all of the mayor and minor bells and whistles associated with it. Yet one of the most overlooked skills is that of establishing relationships. Lets face it if you go from site to site you will notice that there are not many people that are willing to help. Sadly, in the make money online niche help is almost equivalent to a sells pitch. In one of my older posts I wrote about do follow blogs and SEO. The point of that “rant” was to illustrate and hopefully get you to rethink about how you use this strategy for link building. Now to avoiding repeating the same article. I will resume it in some sentences. If a do follow blog does not allow keywords you are just wasting your time. You may get some page rank but you get almost no benefit from it when it comes to rankings. The main idea was to get you guys to reconsider how you comment on blogs.
Every blog is a whole community by itself even if you are the only commenter and the only discussion is between you and the blogger. It does not matter how big or small the potential to establishing a business relationship is there. So what can you gain by being a friends with a fellow webmaster? Some of the most important things that you can obtain from a fellow webmasters are support, online help and even links. But a true online business relationship requires some effort in your part and most of the time is giving something without expecting nothing in return. That how real friendships are made and how they are maintained.
One of the worst things in the make money online niche and the make money blogging niche is that people are more interested in becoming huge blogging celebrities and lose the social side of making an income online and by this statement I am not referring to social media traffic or any other waste of bandwidth. I mean the aspect of growing bonds with like minded individuals and succeed as a community. Not just trying to succeed as an individual, but helping others and getting helped at the same time in different aspects of the journey including motivation.
This way it would be a win-win situation instead of a rat race to see who gets on top first. When you approach a blog rethink about commenting, do not drop a comment for the sake of traffic. Share something, work that blog and become a part of the community, help when you can expecting nothing in return. Some people will only get an ego boost if you help them in some way, in fact the vast majority of them only do but others will take notice of you and help you grow too. At the end of the line, he who succeeds is the best marketer. So market yourself to others and prove that you are worthy of their ever valuable time and eventually, good things will come. Then you will succeed as an internet marketer, by building the credibility you need to get others to notice you and help you back perhaps even promote your sites to their readerships, maybe a link. The possibilities are endless.

Of course community is the most important thing. It plays a huge role in anything and especialy when trying to make money you should be aware of your readers. If you’ve got some commited readers they’re a lot more likely to click on an affiliate link or recommend it to friends.

Building relationships with other bloggers is about building your reputation and brand name. It’s important to earn other people’s trust in you through promoting yourself and blog. Everything else is secondary although it eventually leads to all the things you want to achieve - sales, make money, better conversions etc.
