Most of the stuff we read about making money online involves creating blogs web sites and using PPC. Let’s face not all people are interested in becoming a blogger or the “SEO Guru” of the web. Here is a list of sites from which you can earn some bucks if you put some effort into it. These sites pay you for writing different types of content such as from building one pagers ( Hubs or Lenses), selling your content, writing reviews, giving opinions and sharing experiences. I posted this in order to demonstrate the you can make money online without a site. Contrary to what people think some users of these sites earn more that a thousand dollars a month. It all boils down to how you work them and the effort that you put in them. Some keyword research also helps to get the most out of the ones that pay for views like Associated Content. In fact with just a few articles on AC you can make make a little money online at no cost that actually grows as you write more content.
One pagers or Hub Building Sites:
Squidoo
Note: Lis on her blog: Passive Income Online teaches how to make money online with Hub Pages she is experienced on the subject and has a nice portfolio of Hubs about making money. The same knowledge can be applied to Squidoo Lenses
Make Money by Writing Articles, Reviews and Selling Content
These sites offer you money for publishing your content on their sites and have different payment plans. Be sure to read any terms and research each site to check how their system works.
Constant Content (Selling and Buying Content Only)
Associated Content
eHow
My Essays ( Buy and Sell Essays)
Helium
Niche Blast
Triond
Gather
My Lot
Xoomba (requires adsense account)
Review Stream
Rate It All (requires adsense account)
ePinions
Day Tipper
Ciao Some Countries Only
Dooyoo (Uk and Other European Countries)
Conclusion: If you are not interested in becoming a webmaster there are many ways that you can actually make money online without a site. Keep in mind that developing a residual income from these sites is also hard work. Nothing in life is easy. Some of the sites pay you on a per view basis, other pay you a percentage of the money generated by the ad clicks of visitors, others like connect content are used for selling your content which is more appealing to freelancers. So there you have it folks some good sites that you can use to make money online without having your own website. The truth is still the truth there is no way on the internet that you can make money online immediately you can try paid surveys but still they require a lot of work and they are not really worth it. And their claims that you can make huge money online are false.
Hint: If you are and Article Marketer and have a bunch of content that you used to submit to directories to promote a site that no longer makes you money, send them to Associated Content and get a few bucks a month from them if they are keyword targeted. Just use the Dysplay Only option when submitting and remove the resource box. Works like a charm.
Believe me.

Hubpages and squidoo are easy and quick to use. One thing I am not sure if they are search engine friendly. As far as I am concern, I never find any pages from hubpages or squidoo being place on SE first page. Maybe I am wrong.

Hi Silver, well not everyone likes the idea of building a blog or doing SEO work. Like for example, some freelancers. I have personally spoken with some friends that are freelancers and, at lest the ones I talked to, prefer to sell their stories or if they can at least get something out of it by publishing it on established sites that pay avoiding all the marketing, SEO, hosting ect.
The list is basically a small resource for people to find alternatives other that blogging to make some money online. I do agree with you about having the content on your own site. That’s why I build mine.

I don’t think it’s worth the effort. Setting up your own blog isn’t that hard - why do you have to share with article site owners? I think it’s better to do it by yourself.

I think squidoo is a perfect platform for making money without a blog. However I still prefer hubpages as it’s much easier to create.

There’s been this pretty neat internet forum that paid you for posting. It wasn’t a lot of money but considering as you’re getting paid just for talking about trival stuff it’s not that bad.

Those are well suited for writers I agree with you on that but I like the trill of building a site and ranking it if you know what I mean.

Hmmm… Did Brad outsource link building? I mean he is already rich. And I do not think he would be writing for these.

Your right Mikael nothing is better than creating your own VRE to profit on. Most of these sites are good mostly for people like freelancers and writers that do not want to deal with promoting a site or SEO or even setting up a site in the first place. But what you say is true having your own sites is more profitable and you can do what you want with them.

Building up a site to create a passive income can be done on both free as well as your own sites. Personally I prefer doing it on sites that I own because not only will I be able to sell them (if I want to) but I am also in total control and no corporate site owner can kick me out.

I made a squidoo lens some time ago and I am experimenting with AC. As of now AC looks promising as a good source of building a small residual income. Articles on AC tend to rank very high from what I am seeing. As an additional benefit you can link from you profile page to your sites. Only three links are accepted but a link from a PR6 domain is nice for sites especially new ones.

Hey Peter thanks for adding me to the list. There are people that actually make a good income out of Hub Pages. They have a revenue share system that is quite good from what I have heard. Plus, they rank better that Squidoo since Google slapped Squidoo some time ago. Hub Pages are a little more strict that Squidoo. Lis has some great Hubs and she is making some nice side income from them. Actually her hubs are very high rated by the system.
