The key to blending AdSense with content is matching your AdSense ads and web site template in terms of color. Google is very strict when it comes to how much you can blend your ads with you website. Ads are not allowed to look like regular links nor they can be modified so they would not display the Ads by Google logo. Te only viable options are making your ads look nice inside your web site in therms of colors and corner styles. Ads that differ drastically in colors from your website will increase ad blindness. So choose your palette carefully. Do not label your ads anything but Sponsored Links and do not try to make them appear like they are content. If you have a color palette that matches your web site nicely Ad unit placement is more of an issue and and can determine much of your CTR yet it works harmonically with your color matched ads. With the options Google provides you can create nice combinations just experiment with them and you will obtain your killer combination.

    Hi Archie,

I agree, AdSense works best when the ads blend nicely with the content. We certainly don’t want to have our visitors think our site looks too trashy.

BTW: Thanks for coming by my blog and commenting. It’s always great to see a new visitor.
