Article Marketing – Article Spinning For More Backlink Building Fun

One of the nicest aspects of article marketing is that you can write a 300 word article or an article of any size and have it published in dozens of directories. Still the fact that it is the same article means it is duplicate content in the eyes of a search engine spider. A way you can possibly get around this is by spinning articles. This way, you can help more pages containing your links stay permanently on the index. However, most article spinning software changes the order of the sentences or the replace words automatically relying on the words and instructions in a thesaurus. As of now, there are a lot of automatic software spinner out there that produce crappy results. Imagine a web surfer landing on a an article that doesn’t make sense. Would you even bother to check out the resource box?
There are services that do work. Enter syntax based spinners. These can really help. These type of spinners usually follow a set of commands that you add inside your article. I normally use Jet Spinner from Jet Submitter it is a great free syntax based spinner. The people at Jet Submitter also have a paid service if you want to automate article submissions after your content is spun.
How does Jet Spinner work?
For example, you can write in your article: The faster you repay your car loan the less money you will spend in the end.
If you write it like this: The faster you repay {your car loan|the loan} the {less money you will spend in the end.|less {money|cash} you will end up paying.}
This is just a cheap example but that is how the syntax in Jet Spinner is written.
The syntax basically tells the spinner to choose from the words that are in the clauses at random. The main idea when writing with the syntax in mind is writing alternative phrases that make sense and that do not make the paragraph lose coherence. It may seem difficult at first but in reality it is not hard at all . There are a few more commands that you can use for even more extreme spinning but they require a little more thought.
How I Spin My Articles
I usually write an original version without any syntax first . This will be probably the best version. For this version I normally have a set of keywords that I am planning to use. I save this copy and submit it the top article directories. Then I make a copy of the file using the syntax and targeting very related keywords and variants. I try to use the syntax so that whole sentences are changed and keywords in some. The more clauses I write the better.
Note: The most important aspects of spinning an article is changing the titles. I usually spin the resource box so that the links and anchor text change too. This is very useful for niche sites and may save you from a Google Bombing penalty. This way my articles do not trigger duplicate content penalties most of the time and links get the most possible credit. Do not write the specific keyword phrases that you are targeting on your website in the article body. Use them only in the anchor text in the articles resource box to prevent your article from outranking the site you are marketing.
Do you spin your articles? Have you tried any article spinners before?

Luis,
I have never tried any of these software however, I heard that there’s a new software PlugAndSpin that performs very well in terms of producing grammatically correct spun versions.
Cheers,
Ajith

Good post Luis. Article marketing is a great way to drive traffic to your blog or website, just ensure to change the article a little bit before submitting to many directories like ezines…

Ok i’ve tried nearly all the spinners.. jetspinner, spin2submit, article spinner, article pro, etc. The truth of the matter is that these products simply do not “spin” anything themselves.. you have to literally write up every possible variable yourself. If you paste your original article into the “spinner” section, then all that it spits out is complete gibberish. No offense, but 99% of these programs are written by non-English speaking authors; they just copied a thesaurus into the database and they have no clue about sytax or usage. The ONLY thing these programs are good for is submitting the finished product. Most of the directories are now defunct and even the ones that aren’t and don’t require a captcha are PR 0. Why can’t someone write a program that actually works for a change?

Hi Tina thanks a lot for dropping by.
The Jet Spinner from Jet Submitter is different. You have to write the variables according to its synthax and it chooses from what you wrote. It doesn’t use a thesaurus or any auto word changing feature. To put it simple it chooses only from the words and sentences within the syntax. Ok here is an example:
Original sentence:
Making money online is easy.
If i write it like this
{Making money online|Earning a living online} is easy.
Then some articles will have:
Making money online is easy.
And others:
Earning a living online is easy.
It is actually a good product id say the only spinner that does a good job but there is no automatic function every variable has to be written before hand in your word processor. Check it out its actually free at least the Spinner. About automatic submission well I normally submit manually and use around ten directories. Thats enough for me.
If my spun articles are getting approved by Ezine Articles means it works as EA is the most demanding Article Directory.

OK thank you for the answer. I noticed that many work in that same fashion.. spin2submit works exactly the same way.. others work basically the same but instead of using {term|term2|term3} they use variables that are assigned outside of the article and then can be inserted such as {x|y|z}; where x, y, or z is a word or phrase. You might also want to tell your readers that jetspinner is not free, but two $1 deposits are required to unlock the submitter/spinner and that after three days it is billed at a higher rate. I will say this for jetspinner (if I am thinking of the right one): I do love the feature that allows you to spin it on a scale of 1 to 10, with the two extremes being ‘readability’ and ‘mixed-up-ness’. If so, if memory serves, they at one time offered a website that the reader could try out this spinning feature. I have not been able to re-find it though. Perhaps you know of it.

The tool I use is found at http://www.jetsubmitter2.com/ I think its from the same company at least the layout is some how similar unless its a brand war or some of the crazy stuff that happens on the web at least they use jetspinner in the description tag. But I know of a site that has jet spinner as the domain. At jet2submitter the submission service is not free but the spinner itself is. But you can use the spinner without a paid membership or any deposit. I didn’t sign for the submission service and didn’t have to pay even a nickel for the spinner since I submit manually. Try creating an account to see if you can use the spinning tool for free like me.

This is a great way of promoting articles however it really seems like a lot of work and I don’t think you can convince me otherwise. I mean instead of writing normal sentences I write some weird paragraphs full of synonims. Even if it’s not hard it certainly takes a lot of time to complete.

I have been using PowerArticleRewriter. I am comfortable using this spinner. What I do is I make variations of the sentences, words and phrases. I incorporate manual spinning so that the output looks more desirable.

Thanks a lot for the insightful advice about article spinning. I agree with you about the awesome power of article marketing, but it can become much more powerful if done with a little bit of article spinning. It’s no longer very good to submit just one article to hundreds of article directories because of the duplicate content problem. Instead, spinning and submitting several versions of the same article will bring better results. And of course – I am talking about spinning the RIGHT way using very good article spinning tools and not spinning the wrong way which only messes things up by churning out junk content.
One of MOST POWERFUL article spinning tools out there that is completely free is PlugAndSpin Article Spinning Software .

I only heard about article spinning about a week ago but it seems to make perfect sense. I just did an article and am about to try out the jetsubmitte and her’s hoping it works like they say it does.
